St. Mary’s Rambling group walk every Tuesday taking advantage of our beautiful surrounding countryside including walks in the Isle of Purbeck, the New Forest, Cranborne Chase, Wimborne and North Dorset.

Walks vary between 5 to 8 miles in length, taking in stunning coastlines, rolling fields and even old ruined castles as we explore highways and byways off the normal beaten tracks. Lunch is always a convivial occasion taken at a local pub or tearoom on route.

Currently the group has approximately 20 active members but a typical walking group varies from 8 to 16 depending on individual members circumstances i.e. participation is based on who turns up on the day.

Walk details are emailed or telephoned to group members on a Sunday evening to enable them to decide if the walk is suitable for them and what type of footwear to bring i.e. walking boots in winter or trainers for hot summer weather.

We meet in the church car park every Tuesday at 9.45 a.m. and welcome any parishioners and friends who would like to join us.  For more information contact Alison on 01202 676350 or email: alison@appletonpoole.co.uk
