St. Mary’s Ramblers walk every Tuesday taking advantage of our beautiful surrounding countryside including walks in the Isle of Purbeck, the New Forest, Cranborne Chase, Wimborne and North Dorset.

Walks very from a shorter, slower, level walk to a longer more energetic and hilly walk catering for all abilities during each month. Lunch is always a convivial occasion taken at a local pub or tearoom on route. Occasionally the walking will just be in the morning but would usually finish at a pub so a lunch could be enjoyed.

Walk details are emailed or telephoned to group members on a Sunday evening to enable them to decide if the walk is suitable for them and what type of footwear to bring i.e. walking boots in winter or trainers for hot summer weather. Sometimes the pub will require the number of walkers before the Tuesday so quick decisions may have to be made.

We meet in the church car park every Tuesday at 9.45 a.m. and welcome any parishioners and friends who would like to join us. We car share so fewer car spaces are needed at our start location with a donation for expenses to the driver.
