Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene

Today the Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus' most faithful disciples and the first witness to His Resurrection.

When Mary came to the empty tomb in sorrow, the risen Christ called her by name. In that simple yet powerful moment, everything changed. Filled with joy and hope, she became the first to proclaim the Good News, earning the title "Apostle to the Apostles."

Her story reminds us that Christ meets each of us personally, calling us by name and inviting us to share His love with others.

As we celebrate her feast day, may we, like Saint Mary Magdalene, have the courage to seek Christ, recognise His presence in our lives, and joyfully proclaim:

"I have seen the Lord."(John 20:18)
